This is such a busy time! So much to do with cards and letters to send and that essential shopping, and all before the deadlines expire. You will probably be planning a festive meal or two in addition to everything else on your list.
So far, the Ontario weather has been most kind. Mild temperatures and a delay in snowfall mean it is easier to get around to older friends who appreciate a personal visit at this time of year.
My strategy for remaining sane is to prioritize. If I tell you I start almost every day by writing my current book (Gwen’s Gentlemen: an unexpected third in the Seafarers Series) you will know how important that is to me. I hope you have a sanity saver also. If not, try to imagine a time when the tree is up, the decorations done, the meals eaten and the fridge full of leftovers, and the house peaceful and quiet again. That’s when you can finally sit back, relax and take time for yourself. Perhaps you will enjoy a hot drink by the fireside and listen to music or, like me, catch up on the reading you have been postponing for just this moment.
I can recommend the latest in my Seven Days Series. Watch for Seven Days Horizons to appear on Amazon or treat yourself to an escape with Seven Days Away, set in a luxurious, Mexican resort. Just the thing for a wintry day at home.
Enjoy! You deserve it. Happy New Year to All.
